THE PROOF
As part of be bio-discovery and bioactive validation process extensive biomarker analysis is carried out using and microbial and mammalian cell culture models of skin, bone, muscle, immune and microbiome systems. The biomakers evaluated are selected based upon state of the art in cell biology and biochemistry and provide key insights on modes of action of the Nutramaras bioactives and inform the formulation design process

MaraFucoidan™
MaraFucoidan™ is an organically certified Fucoidan complex. Fucoidan is a bioactive found within the cell walls of brown seaweeds that was first discovered by Doctor Harald Kylin from Uppsala University in Sweden in 1913, and is associated with being the power behind seaweed’s resilience, protecting it from numerous environmental stressors.
NutraMara’s Fucoidan complex is extracted from wild, organic Fucus vesiculosus, that is sustainably harvested by hand from the Irish Atlantic Coast. Fucoidan extracted from this species of seaweed has been extensively analysed in global scientific research with thousands of peer reviewed publications linking its benefits to immunomodulation, anti-oxidant anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and anti- cancer effects. In addition, a range of positive outcomes for key biomarkers of gut, skin and bone health are well reported both in vitro and in vivo.
